Emily graduated from The University of Manchester with a First-Class Honours Degree with Clinical Distinction in Speech and Language Therapy in July 2023.

She has a range of experience working with both adults and children in community and clinic settings.  Emily has worked with clients with a variety of diagnoses including aphasia, primary progressive aphasia, dysarthria and apraxia of speech, resulting from either a brain injury, or progressive neurological condition.  These experiences have enabled her to develop a wide range of skills including devising and carrying out person centred assessment and treatment plans.

Emily is currently working in residential units for adults with acquired brain injuries.  Her role involves collaborating with other members of the muti-disciplinary team to ensure clients receive holistic intervention that considers their specific goals.  She is particularly looking forward to continuining to develop her skills and knowledge in relation to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and dysphagia.
